Japan is in the news pretty much all the time, and for the wrong reasons. Instead of focusing on the incredible scale and sadness of the disaster — as some have done — the 24-hour media has self-pleasured itself into a frenzy on the associated emergency at Fukishima Daiichi reactors. Egged on by the loud “newscasters” (why do they have to be so bloody loud?) people as far away as California have been stocking up on iodine pills and —get this — iodine solution!
